Trailer

Six sorority sisters (Cassidy, Ellie, Jessica, Claire, Chugs, and Megan) live perfect, fun-filled college lives. When Megan discovers her boyfriend, Garrett, is cheating on her, the sisters plot to stage Megan's death during a makeout session with Garrett as payback for being unfaithful. During the prank, the girls and Garrett bring Megan's "dead" body to a steel mill. While the girls giggle and try to prolong the prank, they mention to Garrett that they need something to chop up the body with. When the girls' backs are turned, Garrett impales a car tire tool into her chest, actually killing her. The girls and Garrett, shocked at the accidental murder of their best friend, vow to never ever speak of that night again. One year later, during the party after graduation, the girls get a mysterious video sent to their phones. They find out a hooded "killer" is stalking them and their boyfriends. One by one the girls get killed off and the race is on for them to find out who is killing them before it is too late and everyone is gone.

You know, this remake isn't the worst idea ever; I love the original, as it's one of the best early 80's slasher out there, but I guess it could be improved on. A chance to see more boobs and blood is never a bad thing really, as long as they don't try to get clever and add twists and jump scares galore into the mix.

The one thing that I really need to know is this... Why in the world do we have to be subjected to Audrina Patridge? Seriously? The brain-dead automaton from The Hills nearly threatens to make this unwatchable just by her mere presence... she brings nothing to the table aside from the stare of a mildly retarded child, and a face that inspires me to set baby ducks on fire.

This is the state of celebrity today. Fuck you, American public.

On the other hand, the rest of the chicks in the cast are quite delectable and even a bit talented, so let's focus on them:

Release Date: September 11th, 2009
Rating: R

Verdict: In all reality, this movie can only hope to deliver on two fronts; hot chicks and blood, and if it does, then it should be a good time. Also, Audrina Fatridge needs to die early, and painfully; then, I may just give this one a fair chance.
