Trick r' Treat finally gets its due!

Dread Central posted some news recently that made me actually pump my fist in the air and yell "Yes!", at which point everything paused, a song by Def Leppard started playing, and the credits rolled...

Yeah.

Anyways, at long f'ing last (2007 to be exact), Trick r' Treat is finally going to hit DVD this fall... I'll let them tell you:

Mike Dougherty's Halloween anthology is finally getting its LONG overdue release on DVD and Blu-Ray!!

The release date has yet to be announced, but it should be right around ... wait for it ... HALLOWEEN! The film, starring Anna "True Blood" Paquin and Brian (The Ring, Manhunt) Cox, will also be given a limited theatrical release in the following cities (more may be announced):

FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL, Montreal, Canada July 9-27

TORONTO AFTER DARK, Toronto, Canada August 14-21

MORBIDO FEST, Mexico City, Mexico (MySpace)

FANTASY FILM FESTIVAL - Berlin, Hamburg, Koln, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Stuggart, and Munich Germany - August 18-September 9, 2009

FANTASTIC FEST, Austin Texas, September 24-October 1

SCREAMFEST, Los Angeles, California - October 16-25

London, UK

There will also be a graphic novel combining the 4-issue comic books from DC/Wildstorm released around the same time.

Celebrate indeed. This movie, according to everyone (though a small few) who have seen it, is an instant horror classic. Also, I can never get enough of Anna Paquin.
