A number of villagers wanted John Edwards to be Obama's VP selection. Edwards was the last survivor of the Democratic primary process before it became a 2-person race. The unwed mother, Rielle Hunter, is living in a gated community a few miles from Edwards campaign headquarters. She worked with him on a 6-month contract back in late 2006. Charlotte Observer published the love-child's birth certificate where the entry for the father's name is blank.
