#8- The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2010)- More thriller than true horror, Alice Creed is an interesting movie if nothing else. First and foremost, Gemma Arterton is hot. She looks awesome in this movie, and she does a nice job of playing a terrified kidnap victim. The movie has a few interesting twists and turns, but we had the impression that it would be more "Horror-ish" than it was, so in the end our horror hunger was not satisfied. Still, it's a decent little thriller if you're in the mood for something a bit mild.
#9- The Keep (1983)- Yes, that is a Laserdisc pictured above, and yes, that's the only way that this Michael Mann classic can be seen digitally. How great is The Keep? Well honestly, it's a bit cheesy as far as the special effects go, and some of it the story is a bit hokey in places, but overall this is a classic genre flick that doesn't get enough love. Michael Mann is a hell of a filmmaker, giving us stylish projects like Miami Vice and Heat for example, and you can feel his touch all over this one as well. The movie is packed with acting talent as well, with Jurgen Prochnow, Ian Mckellen, Scott Glenn and Gabriel Byrne. Also, the movie is about a Demon laying waste to a bunch of Nazi 's, so you do the math. It all equals awesome.
That's 9/100 movies watched so far, so we had better get back to it... now where is that toothless kitten...
