In a sport that you play 98% of the time continuously without break, for 2 hours, you don't get "lucky" three matches in a row against three big, tall, & top-ranked teams like Sweden, Germany, and America.

This Japanese team is a world class team.

America would have had an easier time playing against Sweden, a similar team with big, tall, & slower players. The smaller, shorter, & faster Japanese women, who had a coherent team tactic, didn't allow the US too many extra opportunities.

@drybro117 Thanks. There's a reason why Nadeshiko is compared to Barcelona. They've got the precision, coherence as a team, and control when they play. Their speed and their footwork is impeccable. The US women's team are strong, fast, and relentless, but it just wan't enough in the end. I'm an American, and I love watching the Women's World Cup because the collective skill is just awesome to watch. We had our big win in '99, and have placed in EVERY Women's World Cup. Props to both teams
