Howard Witt is a civil rights correspondent and Southwest bureau chief for the Chicago Tribune. He recently completed an interview about Jena, Black bloggers and claims that distorted stories on race in the South for Maynard Institute for Journalism Education.
My observation is that Howard Witt has been consistent in his approach to these stories ... and he has been willing to engage in a flow of information with The AfroSpear and other Black bloggers.
The American Journalism Review also published a remarkable article this week on the way that the media handled the Jena story.
Villagers, what did you think about the these articles and the way that the mainstream media handled Jena 6 case?
