Rapper Nicki Minaj took to her twitter page today to address the Amber Rose nude pics incident after their publicity stunt backfired in Rose’s face.
In a series of tweets, the truculent Minaj bashed a certain blog for writing fake stories.
“I don’t address dumb shit. I always assume intelligent ppl understand these “stories” are 4 entertainment purposes only. But clearly… -_-,” she tweeted to her 4 million followers. “& 4 da record, only reason I addressed this is b/c its costing some1 their job. But let it b known : u mufuckas neva cost young NICK a dime!”
As you know, Rose was fired by the prestigious CAA agency after the blog published graphic nude photos of Rose “busting it wide open” (according to my readers).
Rose admitted it was her in the pics but she accuses Minaj’s boyfriend/road manager — the immature Safaree Samuels — of sending the pics to himself after she let him hold her laptop.


“Those pictures r 2 1/2 years old just sitting in my computer,” Amber tweeted yesterday. However, my loyal reader, Renee Evans, informs me that the heels Amber is seen wearing in the slutty photos came out last year, not 2½ years ago as she claims. So this is yet another in Amber’s repertoire of lies that came back to bite her. No wonder the modeling agency dumped her.





Woman dies in fall from W Hotel across from the White House


A woman died in a fall from the rooftop bar of the W hotel across the street from the White House in Washington DC yesterday.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, plunged 10 stories to her death after witnesses say she climbed over the railing and desperately clung to the building before losing her grip. The woman had been drinking at the rooftop bar of the W, according to the Daily Mail.
The death comes one month after two women fell 5 floors when they crashed through a window wall while “play fighting” at the W hotel in midtown Atlanta. Model LaSahawna Threatt, 30, (pictured at right) died at the scene. Her best friend, Ciara Williams, 25, remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
Falling glass from a W Hotel in Austin, Texas this month prompted the closing of the hotel until further notice. The hotel’s management said 1,000 glass panes in the hotel’s balconies will be replaced.
The manager of the midtown Atlanta W told the Atlanta Journal that the incidents of falling glass from balconies at the W in Texas were “quite different” and “totally unrelated” to the incident in Atlanta.
Two lawsuits have been filed by family members in connection with LaShawna Threatt’s death.

Earlier this week, another blog published nude pictures of socialite Amber Rose in sexually suggestive poses. You know the drill: the blog publishes the photos along with some made up story about how they obtained the photos, then the celebrity who leaked the photos takes to Twitter.com and plays the “victim” accusing the blog of stealing the pictures, blah, blah, blah.
Normally I don’t waste your time with this nonsense as we are a family-oriented blog. But now comes word that Amber, who is bisexual, is accusing her ex-boyfriend, Kanye West, of leaking the photos to the seedy blog.
I don’t believe it, especially since this chick will do ANYTHING for attention these days. But it is blog worthy just the same. :)

Diet soft drinks may have minimal calories, but they can still have a major impact on your waistline, according to two studies presented at a meeting of the American Diabetes Association in San Diego.

Researchers at the Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio tracked 474 people, all 65 to 74 years old, for nearly a decade, measuring the subjects' height, weight, waist circumference, and diet soft drink intake every 3.6 years. The waists of those who drank diet soft drinks grew 70 percent more than those who avoided the artificially sweetened stuff; people who drank two or more servings a day had waist-circumference increases that were five times larger than non-diet-soda consumers.

Mark Halperin Calls President Obama a 'Dick' on Morning Joe Show; Suspended by MSNBC

Mark Halperin is a regular contributor to MSNBC and a senior political analyst for TIME. He wrote a great book about the 2008 election called, "Game Changer". I imagine that Halperin is also a big fan of George Carlin. He obviously bought into Carlin's rant about the '7 Words You Can't Say on Television'.

'Dick' isn't on Carlin's list. As such, Halperin thought it was OK to say 'Dick' on MSNBC earlier this morning. Not only did he use a word that doesn't have a place in our political discourse ... he decided it was good to use it to describe the President of the United States. Seriously!?





It didn't take long for Halperin to feel the consequences. He apologized to the President and the Morning Joe viewers before the show ended, saying:
"I can’t explain why I did it. It’s inappropriate, disrespectful. I’ve already apologized, and I will again to the President.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry to the viewers…It is disrespectful, what I said was disrespectful to the president and the office but it also lowers our discourse."
He also tweeted to his followers: “I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the President and the viewers of Morning Joe. My remark was not funny. I deeply regret it."


MSNBC later released this statement:
"Mark Halperin's comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst."
Halperin followed up with this statement: "I completely agree with everything in MSNBC's statement about my remark. I believe that the step they are taking in response is totally appropriate. Again, I want to offer a heartfelt and profound apology to the President, to my MSNBC colleagues, and to the viewers. My remark was unacceptable, and I deeply regret it."

I think that MSNBC did the right thing.   I don't have an issue if you disagree with the President ... or anyone else in the political arena ... but, you can disagree without being disrespectful.   Shame on you Mark Halperin!

The Violent Kind (2011)

"The Shitty Kind."


The Butcher Brothers. The Brothers Strause. McG... Is there a filmmaker(s) out there with a pretentious name that can actually make a decent movie? I'll give the Butcher Brothers credit for The Hamiltons, which was decent, but other than that, the answer is no. You shouldn't be able to make up a nickname or special moniker for yourself, until you've, oh I don't know, earned the right?

The Violent Kind opens with a clothed sex scene and a drug deal gone wrong, and a avant-garde credit sequence. Woo! It's really about group of bikers that couldn't make the SAMCRO cut if their lives depended on it, and their crazy adventures at a birthday party. They walk around, talk, stare at girls, and mean mug for about 20 minutes, until Tiffany Shepis gets possessed by...aliens, I think... and tries to kill a guy for fingering her. She also climbs on the ceiling, and acts all possessed.

Up to this point, the movie isn't all that bad (though dull,), but the Butcher Brothers have an ace up their sleeve: ghostly greasers.

Yep, a gang of ghost greasers shows up, lead by Giovanni Ribisi's less talented brother, and proceed to listen to crappy oldies and act all 50's style. And Talk. Talk, talk, talk. From here on out, there's something about aliens (?) and an event that will change the world, and we're not really sure what happens.

The main problem here is that this movie thinks itself clever, and spends most of its running time showing us, the audience, just how clever it is. Over, and over, and over again. There's a good flick here somewhere, but it's buried underneath so much quirky and lame shit that it ceases to matter at about the halfway point.

There are some things about this movie that are interesting, though they never full amount to much. Here they are.

The chicks, man. This movie had some pretty hot chicks.


Tiffany Shepis. It's always fun to watch her act slutty.


This Scene. I was like, "WTF?!?"


The possession stuff was mildly interesting, until we realized it was all a ruse.


That sky. It was pretty bad ass.


This shit, whatever it was, was kinda cool lookin.


Everything else was a mess. The story was confused and vague, the acting was over the top and annoying, the CGI blood sucked, and most of it made little sense. It's obvious that the movie was meant to be equal parts disturbing, clever, and deeply original, but in the end what it ends up being is frustrating and tedious. I blame Rob Zombie; Everyone wants to make their own Devil's Rejects, but none seem to be able to.

Taser Death: Delric East (Montgomery County, MD)

Montgomery County police arrived at the scene of an auto accident earlier this week. Instead of helping the man involved in the accident the officers thought it would be a good idea to electrocute him with 50,000 volts of electricity from a taser gun.

Delric Tyrone East, 40, died at Suburban Hospital at 11:30 p.m., on Tuesday, June 29, about an hour after resisting county police and emergency crews, who were attempting to pull him from a 1993 two-door Cadillac he drove into a barrier.

The police claim that "became agitated and began to fight with rescue personnel." The police indicate that the taser was used to subdue the man so rescue workers could remove him from the vehicle.

Officers found what they believe to be a small vial of PCP in the car. Of course, the police like to make sure that the public knows that drugs are someplace in the vicinity whenever there is a taser-related death. It helps them pin the blame on something other than the electrocution itself as a cause of death. It should be interesting to see what the autopsy says about East's cause of death.


The four officers involved in the incident were placed on administrative leave. They have been identified as Officer David Courtemanche, a six-year veteran, Officer Michael Putman, a nine-year veteran, Officer Eric Hammelton, an eight-year veteran, and Sgt. Jeffrey Divers, a 19-year veteran.

Taser-related deaths in America continue to occur on a weekly basis. When will something be done?

Taser Autopsy: Otto Kolberg (Waycross, GA)

The powers-that-be down in Waycross (GA) are trying to convince themselves and the public that 55-year old Otto Kolberg died from injuries in a truck crash and not from the 50,000 volts of electricity that were pumped into him from a Ware County sheriff's deputy's Taser.

The preliminary results from an autopsy are being widely released to mitigate the fault of the taser in this man's death.
"The preliminary results show Mr. Kolberg died due to injuries consistent with the car wreck. Those results also indicate the Taser didn't have any effect in causing his death," said Russell Mansfield, special agent in charge of the GBI office in Douglas, which is handling the investigation.

As predicted, Beyonce’s album, 4, has bombed spectacularly. The projected first week sales figures are in — and they are not good.

Beyonce will be #1 next week, but 4 will sell only 273K, her lowest 1st week sales since her debut album, Dangerously in Love, was released back in 2003. I’m still trying to get my confidential source on the phone to tell me what the mood is at Sony/Columbia records. I’ll let you know what he says.

Creating a cheat sheet will help you feel more prepared and confident. You shouldn't memorize what's on the sheet or check it off during the interview. You should use your cheat sheet to remind you of key facts. Here are some suggestions for what you should include on it.

In the Days Before the Interview
  • Draw a line down the center of a piece of paper. On the left side, make a bulleted list of what the employer is looking for based on the job posting. On the right side, make a bulleted list of the qualities you possess that fit those requirements.
  • Research the company, industry and the competition.
  • Prepare your 60-second personal statement.
  • Write at least five success stories to answer behavioral interview questions ("Tell me about a time when..." or "Give me an example of a time...").
  • List five questions to ask the interviewer about the job, the company and the industry.
  • Research salaries to determine your worth.

Good News Tuesday: 13-Year Old Autum Ashante Heads to College

Autum Ashante is not your typical 13-year old. She’s a poet with a high IQ who has mastered three different languages, has a strong sense of her culture and is headed to college this fall. Shante is going to be a freshman at The University of Connecticut after being home schooled by her parents.

Her father, Ben, was able to put all of his time into educating his daughter. He’d retired early and also worked with teachers in the community to ensure that his daughter had access to a high quality education.
“What she’s doing is groundbreaking but this is not about vanity,” he said. “It’s about setting the tone for other Black and Latino children who will come behind her. They’re always being told they are underachievers. We want to show this can be done.“
The Ashante family isn’t just shining the light on themselves for personal reasons, they want to make it clear that their daughter is an example for all to see the potential of their own children. They fully expect their child to serve as a role model to African American and Latino children everywhere. Well, from first glance, it appears that this young lady can also provide a good example for many adults as well.

François Hollande (born 12 August 1954) is a French politician. From 1997 to 2008, he was the First Secretary of the French Socialist Party. He is also a deputy from the département of Corrèze and the mayor of Tulle.

He was born in in Rouen, Seine-Maritime, and is a graduate of HEC, Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and ENA, and his former profession was as councillor in the Court of Accounts.

In 2004, he took the position of 'yes' on the French referendum on the European Constitution, thus opposing number two of the party, Laurent Fabius. Hollande organised an internal vote on the party's position on December 1, in which representatives voted with 59% margin for 'yes', but the constitution was eventually defeated by the French public in May 2005.

His partner was former French presidential candidate Ségolène Royal, with whom he has four children - Thomas (1984), Clémence (1985), Julien (1987) and Flora (1992). In June 2007, just a month after the French presidential election of 2007, the couple announced that they were separating.

Shortly after his split from Ségolène Royal was announced, the French website lepolitique.com published details of a relationship between Hollande and a French journalist, Valérie Trieweiler. Many considered this to be a breach of France's strict stance on politicians' personal privacy. In November 2007, Valérie Trieweiler discussed openly her relationship with Hollande in an interview with French weekly Télé 7 Jours.

He is seen as a leading contender for the socialist nomination as candidate for the 2012 presidential election.

Twin Of Twins’ Stir It Up – Volume 9 – Trial & Error


Platinum Camp Records, in association with Twin of Twins (Kingston13) and Black Roses Entertainment, are collaborating to release Stir It Up Vol. 9 in an animated (cartoon) format, followed by the production and development of a thirty minute animated sitcom for television. The sitcom will be based on the characters already made famous by the Twins, and will reportedly be aired for a season.
The C.E.O of Platinum Camp, Daddy Bigg$, reportedly said, “It’s a ‘first of its kind’ deal, which is structured for a multiple of years,” during which the entire Caribbean will be entertained by the hilarious antics of the Twins. You will have to set your alarms, and stop whatever you’re doing to run to your television sets once per week for about thirty minutes, in order to catch what they say will be the funniest animated sitcom of all time.
Longtime Twin of Twins manager, Henry K., who helped structure the deal, said “we have been offered deals before, but Platinum Camp came to the table with the right combination of creative freedom and financial backing. Platinum Camp has the vision of creating a multi-media empire combining film, music, and digital media that is consistent with our vision and what we have been building.”
